The tour commences with a pick up from your hotel. Then, we will drive to Mevlana Museum. Mausoleum of Rumi (in Turkish ‘Mevlana Müzesi’), is one of the most significant sightseeing places in Konya and there is the tomb of the famous mystic/sufi/thinker Rumi (known shortly as Mevlana in Turkish), as well as the neighboring museum that displays relics of his life and his time. The items on display in the museum range from old manuscripts, hand written copies of the Koran, musical instruments used at Rumi’s time, as well as numerous art works dating from the Seljuk era.
Afterwards, we will take a lunch break in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, the tour continues with a visit to Alaeddin Mosque. This mosque is one of the most interesting examples of Turkish Architecture with wooden columns. A graveyard for the Sultans is located in the courtyard of this mosque. Ince Minareli Medrese is our last stop(theological school) with its amazing portal gate. At the end of your tour, we will drop you back to your hotel.
